This past week, historians claimed that the Holy Grail has been sitting in a basilica in Leon, Spain, for the last 1,000 years. This would be breaking news if it wasn’t just the newest claim in a string of thousands of grail sightings. Besides, the true Holy Grail is packed into my Gpen. And although it may not grant eternal life, it will make it a bit more worth living.
When I first got this shatter home, I hopped on the growboards to see what genetics it was bringing to the table. There seem to be two accepted possibilities. Is it just Holy Grail Kush (Kosher Kush and OG #18) renamed? Perhaps. More likely, it is the popular Holy Grail Kush bred with a heavier OG phenotype to pick up the OG in its name.
This sample from HGH extracts is a golden ray of sunshine of a concentrate. Paper thin as my half gram was, it was also transparently clear. I am jumping onto the HGH bandwagon with both feet, and it is purity like this that caused my enthusiasm. Not once have I been disappointed with their extracts, and I don’t expect to be anytime soon.
Even as a shatter, which aren’t usually fragrant, citrusy orange and lemon notes abound when the parchment paper is unfolded. Thankfully, this acidic citrus is picked up once vaporized. The vapor is lightly flavorful and fresh, but also expansive in the lungs, causing a coughing fit or two.
The high is strongly indica, supporting the OG cross theory. Immediately upon vaping, a sedated body high rushed over my limbs. It was very mellow and relaxed from the OG and helped significantly with physical relief of stress and tension. There is some minor pain relief from the body buzz, and the head rush eased tension headaches. Be aware of couch lock or drowsiness, as I lost many a moment day-dreaming. This doesn’t translate to insomnia relief, though the Kosher Kush certainly puts up a fight. An indica dominant such as Holy Grail OG is useful for a multitude of physical symptoms and can replace an entire shelf in your medicine cabinet, making it a worthwhile donation.
