I stopped off at quite a few edibles booths at Hempcon back on 4/20, but Korova reached out the most to build a relationship with their patients, and their samples were hefty teasers of the products they offer. Unfortunately, Korova edibles aren’t available yet in Santa Ana locations, but their representatives assured me it wouldn’t be long before they were.
To start, many edibles make claims about how strong they are, always competing to be the biggest knockout. That said, Korova’s claim of “Unrivaled potency” is more than just a boast. The samples they were giving out were small bite sized blocks, packing 125mgs a shot. Even broken into the 2.5 suggested doses, this is no meager amount.
The samples I brought home from Hempcon were their 51/50 bar. The bottom half of these edibles were brownie; the top half, cookie. Making a clever play on both the make-up of the dessert and the potency of each dose, 50 mgs. There is a slight cannabis smell and taste, despite the sweetness of the edible. Some notice this taste more than others, and I have found that chocolate mixes well with the cannabis bitterness.
A wonderfully euphoric and happy high, it is exactly what you want out of a long duration high from edibles. There are fits of giggling and daydreaming to deal with, but these are acceptable side effects for relief from stress and anxiety and their friend depression. There are body effects too, almost unavoidable with ingested cannabis. But the real focus of this medication is the mood elevation I experienced, even at high doses.
