For some time, The Limelight and I have been chatting back and forth about coming in to check them out for a review. The problem? I don’t get up to Rialto… well, ever. However, once they told me that they would be showcasing their strains at Hempcon 2014, I made it a point to stop by their booth and see what they had to offer. What they suggested was their best selling strain–Great White.
A sativa dominant hybrid, Great White is most often seen on menus as Great White Shark. If we are dealing with the same strain, then it is a breeding of Super Skunk with Brazilian sativa and South Indian indica landraces. You just don’t see landraces in most genetics anymore since most have long been bred and re-bred into designer strains long ago. Coming across a strain that can even trace back to a landrace is rare.
There are strong body indicators for the amount of sativa Great White contains. But in the end, it is still a sativa dominant. And while its stoney haze slows down productivity, it makes for a great weekend strain for uplifting relaxation. A full-bodied balance allows for a wide range of effects, making this bud hit many birds with its one stone. I found great stress relief, both in the shoulders and in the mind.
