Second Story has begun branding their own concentrates and are doing a bang up job of it. They offer the characteristic packaging of card envelope and parchment paper high end extraction companies regularly use. There is no inner baggie, but Second Story always has fresh product with their other concentrates, and this sample was no different. Between the branding, packaging, and quality, I see no reason that Second Story’s designer line won’t excel in the Santa Ana market.
This extract has a brilliant amber color, darker than some products I’ve seen around the OC recently, but still translucent and pure. Expect a surprisingly sweet flavor for a shatter. There is lots of luscious berry from both strains. Also anticipate some earthy spice from the OG Kush in GSC. The vapor was expansive in the lungs and burst into vapor when it hit the nail, so be careful not to over do it and end up in a coughing fit like I did many times.
Dabs of this extract create a high that has a quick, rushing, and potent hit, getting you relief immediately. GSC has long been a favorite of mine for the OG Kush and Durban Poison in it. Strawberry Cough drags this blending firmly to sativa dominance. I’ve always found Strawberry Cough to be a peculiar sativa in that it is productive and energetic, but not necessarily mood enhancing. I’ve described it in the past as a manic high. Girl Scout Cookies balances Strawberry Cough’s OCD intensity with its mellow OG Kush and uplifting Durban Poison, creating a manageable work day medication that will leave you both revitalized and serene.
