TGA Genetics started with a complex hybrid that took the moniker, The Cleaner. This rather intimidating name has little to do with mob men who make problems disappear and everything to do with its Pine Sol scent. This hybrid (Pluton x Purple Haze x Lamb’s Bread x Northern Lights) although appealing enough already, was then crossed with Jack Herer, raising its sativa influence. Finally, Space Queen (Romulan and Cinderella 99) was introduced to polish off the genetics. These seven base strains represent a roll call of well regarded strains.
Among the myriad of scents these strains bring to the table, two stand out the most: a light lemon/pine and a sweet tropical mango. This means that Pinene and Myrcene are present in spades, bringing their potency adding effects with them. Pinene is a bronchodilator, which opens the airways and allows more active components to be absorbed, while Myrcene improves the effectiveness of THC.
This wax ‘s soft, almost kief like consistency makes it a bit hard to form dabs with but perfect for crumbling over bowls or into joints. It has a deep mustard color and was by far the lightest of the four waxes I chose to fill out the eighth for which I donated.
While clearly a sativa leaning hybrid, Jack the Ripper’s genetics are all over the charts, creating a full spectrum high. Consider this a jack of all trades, but a master of none. That said, you notice this high in your every fiber, making you feel more even more medicated, more engaged in every way. I found it to offer a pensive, thoughtful high–like a quiet walk in the woods or meditating on the beach. There is a warming body buzz and some enervation. At higher doses, it became playful, and it’s stimulation of the senses made me feel alive. I would avoid this one for insomnia or significant pain relief, but Jack the Ripper is ideal for psychosomatic symptoms. It’s mix of both mental and physical relaxation helps power through anxiety and soothes feelings of stress.
