I was given one of the dark chocolate Bhomb Bars in a single serving sample during a visit to Bristol Pharms and loved it, so when I came across them again at Second Story, I jumped at the chance to donate for a full sized bar to review. Unlike some other medicated chocolate bars that are filled with anything from nerds and pop rocks to peppers or peppermints, the Bhomb Bar relishes in its simplicity.
This dark chocolate bar has a wonderful complexity to the flavor. Chocolate complements cannabis so well on the palate, especially the already bitter and lively dark chocolate. However, melted chocolate in your pocket means you may want to leave this one in the fridge when not using it. And at 200mg of THC and 29mg of CBD, you’ll have plenty of medication for multiple treatments. I find the 50 mg pieces to be a perfect potency for when my symptoms become severe. Less experienced patients will want to start with ⅕ of a segment or less.
With most edibles, a huge smile is usually my first indicator that it has kicked in. The effects were spacey and distracted as the high developed. Staring off into the distance became a favorite pastime mid-high to peak. Then it softens and carries you along in a blissful bubble. I had a hard time working once it kicked in fully, making this edible best saved for responsibility free days.
