As mentioned before on the website, I love everything gummi. Bears, pretzels, fish: nothing is safe. This goes doubly so when they are medicated, so when given the chance to samples Jomamas gummi stars after this years Highfi event, I knew I’d be reviewing these edibles personally.
I found Jomamas gummi stars to be delightfully soft. They had a wonderful texture, thick and smooth, similar to a Jello jiggler. Unlike sprayed candies, these have the THC integrated in the creation process for a much more evenly distributed medication. There is a vaguely orange flavor, not at all unlike a Cheeba Chew Green Hornet, but far less bitter and much sweeter.
Each gummi star was about the size of a half-dollar coin. The label information was sparse, lacking ingredients and nutritional information. It stated that there was 85% shatter, but that doesn’t tell us much. I would love to see some milligram numbers on the package to help better gauge patient dosing.
Because I was unsure of the exact dosing information, I took to the old tactic of eating half and waiting, in this case one of the two stars in the package. After about 45 minutes, I ate the other. There was an easy and social start to the high that settled into a comforting physical buzz. Recommended for beginner to moderate patients, those that use edibles for severe symptoms may need more relief than these edibles can deliver. I never quite became medicated enough and would be curious to get more specific dosing numbers for these edibles.
