Patient’s in Orange County have a wide choice of pre-rolled joints to choose from among the area dispensaries. With so many options on the market, it is important for brands to set themselves apart from the competition. So what makes the Cavi Cone different?
The Cavi Cone is a flavored hash oil infused joint from the folks at Caviar Gold. While many pre-roll brands now mix the flower in their joints with oil, kief, or hash, Caviar Gold adds the element of flavors, not unlike cigarillos and blunt wraps in recent years, to alter the smoking experience.
For our review, we went with the very candy sweet strawberry Cavi Cone. Although most noticeable when first lit, the strawberry taste followed all the way through our pre-roll. I found the Cavi Cone to be very oily when smoked, probably from the presence of ½ gram of hash in each joint. The joint itself burned even and surprisingly slow considering how greasy the joint became. The ash from the joint was thick and resinous, while the smoke was dense and irritating in the throat. Despite this, coughing was kept under control for someone who rarely smokes flower anymore.
WIthout strain specific knowledge of the flowers inside or their quality, we can only be left to speculate as to the direction the high will take, but it seemed to swerve towards an indica dominant set of effects, made all the heavier by the presence of hash oil.
