As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, I am a sucker for gummy candies. Thankfully, there is no shortage of companies that have taken to adding THC extract to all our childhood favorites. Cali Fresh Infusions is just one of those companies offering an assortment of medicated candies, including their Dank Watermelon Tarts.
These candies have a sour bite that is swiftly followed by a sweet, juicy burst. There is also a trivial bitter, back of the throat, after-taste from the cannabis extract. Edibles are often my medication of choice due to their discreetness. That said, there is a slight but noticeable marijuana smell when the bag is opened. Something worth keeping in mind when out in public. Unlike the bulk candies you can buy down in Balboa, these dank treats are strictly for grown-ups.
Each bag contains 25 servings of one piece, meaning each sweet is a 10 mg serving. Perfect for controlling your dosing, beginners should start with half a single candy, waiting at least an hour before eating the other half. More experienced users can conveniently dose up from there. I was using doses of 60-80 mg, taken two candies at a time. This let me keep an even high all day long. I have heard that these types of treated edibles can be either high or low in their labelled consistency, causing problems in consistent medicating, but in my time using these treats, I have yet to personally notice any variation. And short of sending these out to be tested, only personal experience can be used to judge.
I love edibles for their excellent anxiety control and comforting body high. A bit lightheaded and chatty at first, the high becomes hazy and stoned over time. This initial come-on is followed by weighty body relief. I felt no lock and no tiredness–just mellow relaxation. The high is spacy and wandering and lacks any clear motive.
